My 2nd St. Michael, I had this one in my head over a few years, with a lose, rough drawing on a piece of paper to remind me(amidst the stack of many-natch).
Finally, I crammed the time to work on it into my very busy workweek, and finished it.
Satan was initially going to be oxblood color, but I settled on a deep red, so you can see more of his shape and wounds. Plus, I wanted a balance of colors between him and St. Michael.
I really enjoy showing him suffering, and having his skull in 'mid-rupture'.
Yay St. Michael-go get him! ^_^
Finally I found a little of true kowledge here in deviant art I tried to search something linked to Christianity and I found manily mockers or blasphemys good job indeed keep it on thanks!
Ipilgrimage, you humble me very much, and I return the love you send out to me right back with a greatly humbled heart! I am so glad you enjoy my work-feel free to check back soon, as I am posting more pieces this evening in my gallery. Thanks so much!-Nat
I appreciate the comments about my avatar. In reality, I have nothing to do with promoting the whole "Big Brother" idea / INGSOC / etc. that George Orwell so eloquently imagined in his classic novel "Nineteen Eighty-four".
I just like the look of it and had been on sort of a "1984" interest streak (so to speak) here a short while ago when I signed on to Deviant Art. So I just sort of let it carry over. Additionally, I am reading a book right now on the practices / erroneous beliefs of the Jehovah's Witnesses entitled "The Orwellian World of the Jehovah's Witnesses" which is written by two former J.W.'s as sort of a tell-all book.
Authors weave in the theme / premise of the novel 1984 with the J.W. cult's ideas and how much the people who are at the top of the ladder within the J.W. establishment use the same techniques the Mr. Orwell spoke of. A very good read.
I am reading it because, as a Traditional Roman Catholic, I have engaged in some highly spirited debates with J.W.'s and have always been puzzled at how "robotic" or "uneducated" or "rigid" they are. Just amazed at it.
OK, sorry to have gone off on a tangent here. Thanks again for putting the St. Michael image up for others to peruse here on D.A. Wish there was some way that we could eliminate the really, really, REALLY evil images that some users here on D.A. put up to mock Jesus. Really saddens me.
Thanks so much!-Nat
Well done ... love it. Go St. Michael!
Interesting name and userpic, by the way. Not a logo people see very often!

"Quis Ut Deus!" and "Ad Jesum per Mariam"
Take care,
