Keep practicing though-smiles take serious time in art to come across as convincing-I totally understand!
Yes, I am much the same about cats and dogs. I love dogs so much, my husband and I are on perpetual dog watch when we drive around. He will say,'Doggie',when he spots one, in a short 'head's up' kinda way.
But I was raised in a house with more cats owned than dogs, and love their feline ways, softness and scent even. Especially a freshly cleaned cat belly-that is the best!!
Glad you like the art. I have another St. Gertrude, which will be and 8x10 still in progress.
And I am glad to see I am not the only one who uses the word,'dude', because it's recently latched itself onto me!(I am notorious for mixing slang with really proper grammar for fun)
Yes indeed St. Gertrude is all about the cats and mice in her icons! People who like cats, will naturally see the fun connection, and Catholics who like cats will too.
And don't feel bad, we learn something new every day.
And dude, "dude" is so totally an addicting word to use. (Hey! I used it twice in a sentence! XD) I myself don't use too much slang but dude has snuck its way into my vocabulary.
And hurray for learning something new everyday! I always do enjoy learning new things especially where the saints are concerned.
