Description
My third and final Nouveau Halloween Queen this year. Maybe I will bring some new ones back next year, but this is the last in the trio for 2008.
My Mom actually has some really great ideas for artworks, which I welcome when I am stuck, or simply fishing for extra options under a typical theme I am doing.
She suggested I try making one where a little batty friend is playing peek-a-boo with the last Halloween Queen, and she is lifting up a little wing flap to throw a little glance his way. I hadn't seen anything quite like that in art, so I thought, 'sure'! What the hay!
Unlike the last few, this one has short hair-a bit 1920's/1930's, when those 'Kewpie Curls' were being worn by women. To tie in the black/orange colors in the hair, the ends of each curl become gradually more black up to the tips, with the rest a prominent orange.
I tell ya, if someone wanted me to design Halloween costumes, I could create quite a few!
